Where: 2669 Larimer St., Denver
The Low Down: After almost nine months since construction plans were announced, Central Market has a new opening date. Formerly slated for May 2014, the 14,000-square-foot gourmet market hopes to be open for business in spring 2016. The one-stop-shop food emporium comes from Denver developer Ken Wolf and RiNo restaurateur Jeff Osaka, known for Osaka Ramen and the soon-to-open Sushi-Rama. The 27th and Larimer building will house 13 yet-to-be-announced tenants that will offer everything from wine to freshly baked bread and ice cream. All vendors are said to be local companies, with some being veterans and others that will debut their first stores.
“We wanted to create a well-rounded selection, and we knew it was important to us to keep all of the vendors local,” said Osaka. “Our hope is that we’ll be another draw for the neighborhood that will support its diversity, growth, and well-being.” continue reading here
